2019-TAKE REFUGE IN THE WORD

Updated: Jun 28, 2019

“THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD                                                              I HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED!”

Through the ages, the Psalms have been a great source of comfort for many and still is to this day. Let’s take time this week and in the weeks to come to find comfort and refuge in such truth.

Sometimes heading into a new year can present a whole new set of challenges, and fear will try it’s best to creep in and steal our joy, peace and rest. Taking time to get into God’s Word to find encouragement, strategy, hope, and comfort are important as we move forward.

ENCOURANGEMENT & COMFORT

Psalm 116:4-7 “I cried out to the Lord, “God, come and save me!” He was so kind, so gracious to me. Because of his passion toward me, he made everything right and he restored me. So I’ve learned from my experience that God protects the childlike and humble ones. For I was broken and brought low, but he answered me and came to my rescue! Now I can say to myself and to all, “Relax and rest, be confident and serene, for the Lord rewards fully those who simply trust in him.”

Psalms 23:4,6 TPT-“Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me for you already have. You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. YOUR authority is my strength and peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear..…. so why would I fear the future?… for Your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life…”

Pslams 34:7-8 NLT– “the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him; taste and see that the Lord is good, oh the joys of those who take refuge in him.”

Psalms 37:4-5 TPT– A Song of Wisdom- “make God the utmost desire of your life and he will provide for you what you desire most…give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust in Him along the way, you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly…”

“FEAST ON FAITH-NOT FEAR”

Psalm 37:7-“Quiet your heart in his presence and pray; keep hope alive as you long for God to come through for you.

GOD’S WORD ANCHORS OUR SOUL

Isaiah 26:3-4 –You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock

Psalm 18:2-3 –“I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies.”

As you head into 2019, join yourself to His Word and look to Him!

Happy New Year and God’s best to you all in 2019.
