This is the Hebrew month of AV -a month where much distress and pressure will want to take hold of your heart and mind. It’s the month where the children of Israel were standing at the edge of the promised land about to enter a time of blessing but did not because they succumbed to the pressure that fear, doubt and unbelief produces.
This is the time when Moses sent the 12 spies out to scout the land for occupation. It’s the time where God wanted to reveal his goodness and fulfill his promises of inheritance to them.
Instead of it being a time of celebration and blessing it turned out to be a time of doubt and unbelief that opened the door up to a curse.
Unfortunately out of the 12 spies that came back to give a report, only two of them believed that they could go in and possess the land.
This month we must NOT be like the 10 who let their hearts be filled with fear, doubt and unbelief. We must be like the two- Joshua and Caleb, who allowed faith to arise in their hearts to believe God for all that he had promised. Read Numbers 13-14 this month so you know how to respond in faith.
SIGNS OR SYMPTOMS
A feeling of intense pressure, where you feel like you’re in a tight place
Feelings of doubt, unbelief or fear that is trying to creep in
Sleeplessness
Feelings of weight and heaviness on your chest
Emotional highs and lows or out of control emotions
Feeling spiritual intimidation or fearful forebodings
Feeling like you want to throw in the towel concerning something specific
Lack of connection with God
Feeling weak or inadequate where are all of your spiritual strength feels depleted
Depressive thoughts or suicidal thoughts
It’s a month where satan will try and intimidate you and tempt you with great fear, doubt and unbelief, but you must move through this month with great faith. You can do this with the help of the Lord and those he sends you.
STRATEGIES FOR FAITH AND BREAKTHROUGH
Return your gaze and fix your eyes on Jesus- and make him bigger than your fears. Fear will always try and magnify your issue as bigger than God. FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL.
God wants to give you clear directives-make time and be intentional to tune in and listen for God’s voice this month
Allow God to speak to you the way he chooses. He may speak in a dream or through his Word. Sometimes God speaks in an audible voice. But he also speaks through a still small voice. God may also speak to you through nature or a movie, if your paying attention. Just be open to however he chooses.
Expect God to speak to you
Get into step with God by activating your faith practically. This means motion and movement. This means taking an action step and doing something. Faith and action=results
Renew your heart and life to the Lord and submit to his Lordship in a new and fresh way.
Stay focused-don’t be distracted like Martha in Luke 10- take time like Mary, to sit at the feet of Jesus this month and listen for him to speak or teach you something.
Trust God and seek him for what you need. Proverbs 3:5-8- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding, Seek him in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Focus on Gods love for you-Psalm 69:13-“But I keep praying to you, Lord, hoping this time you’ll show me favor. In your unfailing love, oh God, answer my prayer with your sure salvation.”
Check your heart this month and confess your sin as sin hinders prayer. Psalm 66:18-20...”if I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me. “
Listen to those God sends your way. He may use others to confirm things or give you direction.
Repent for all forms and agreements with pride; because God generously gives grace and favor to the humble but he resists the proud. James 4:6-8, and 1 Peter 5:5-6
Ask God to perfect you in his love this month... 1 John 4:18 says- “there is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one fears is not made perfect in love. ”
Guard your words this month. Don’t curse yourself with negativity or negative confessions
Speak Gods Word out loud and fill your atmospheres with faith
Recall all the times God has been faithful to you
FORGIVE, FORGIVE FORGIVE and let go of all offenses
There is a faith or a trust that comes from God. But we must agree with Him, by letting go of every weight or sin that slows us down and by humbling ourselves and renewing our faith at certain times. Don’t let fear fill your heart this month- LET LOVE AND FAITH FILL IT.
“He responded, “Have the kind of trust that comes from God! Yes! I tell you that whoever does not doubt in his heart but trusts that what he says will happen can say to this mountain, ‘Go and throw yourself into the sea!’ and it will be done for him. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, trust that you are receiving it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive your offenses.”” Mark (Mrk) 11:22-25 CJB
