Psalm 8:3-9  When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have set in place; What is man that You think of him,
And a son of man that You are concerned about him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God,
And You crown him with glory and majesty!

You have him rule over the works of Your hands;
You have put everything under his feet, All sheep and oxen, And also the animals of the field, The birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea, Whatever passes through the paths of the seas. Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth!

By design, you are wonderfully created and put together by God! You are made in His image and His likeness, and are on a journey of understanding who we are as image bearers.

Genesis 1:26-27  Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the livestock and over all the earth, and over every crawling thing that crawls on the earth.” So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

You are an embodied soul and discovering the fullness of what that means will take patience and time.

God loves you and desires communion and fellowship with you, but he also desires and demands our obedience. True conversion and transformation will require something from you that at times you may not want to give or give up. God knows all about the human condition, as Jesus was the truly human one, as Son of Man; He understands our frame and he knows we are dust. We are not God in other words and he understands our weaknesses as humans; and he is more than willing to help us, teach us, support us because he loves us.

PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS - Psalm 23- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord. Forever.

We will journey together through this beautiful ancient scripture as we look at what it means to walk paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

God is known in scripture as Jireh-the One that is more than enough. God by His Spirit will empower us to please him and fulfill his will as we learn to walk the sacred paths of righteousness.

Learning to walk daily with God is key to experiencing peace and rest for your life. Learning to walk the ancient paths of peace and rest, restores and renews our weary souls.

"Solitude is the place of purification and transformation, the place of the great struggle and the great encounter...the place of our salvation."

"First silence makes us pilgrims. Secondly, silence guards the fire within. Thirdly silence teaches us to speak." Henri Nouwen

Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls." Jeremiah 6:16

"This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength....

"Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.' – Ephesians 4:23

Cultivating a lifestyle of Prayer & Rest

Your Pathway to peace and renewal will begin with:

I am no psychologist but I have been on a journey of learning about the soul, for many years. For me it has been an intense journey of growth and maturity. Maturing in my emotions, my heart, my mind by surrendering my thoughts to God; surrendering my personality to God's refining fire; surrendering my will to his will.

Learning to be fully human takes on quite a reshaping process as we are many times shaped to focus on ourselves and not others. The kingdom of God looks very little like the world we've all grown up in, so it will take time, to see where these systems begin and end in our heart and soul. We will begin discussing how our humanity requires that we look at others from a connected position. The Jewish community understood that the heart was the center of intellectual activity and soul' the seat of the will. Taken together they are the inclusive of the total of our inner being. When the early church first began to understand what community looked like they realized they wanted the same things and thought the same things. True human connection was their new reality. We must not see others as separate from ourselves but as a part of the whole where we are all learning what it means to be truly human.

It has been a hard journey but a rewarding one nonetheless. The important thing we must always remember, is the journey part...we will be on a continual process of growth, maturation and discovery until the day we die- so learning to settle this early in life will help manage the barrage of emotions and frustrations as we are stretched by God together.

The spiritual condition of your heart steers the direction of your life.

(Proverbs 23:7 NKJV)

We will discuss how to walk Soul Pathways that will help you identify areas that are deceived, wounded, and fragmented, requiring attention, correction, healing, and restoration. (Psalms 23:3 AMP)

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.  – 3 John‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭ESV

Developing healthy self awareness

Your Pathway to Soul Restoration will begin with:

Your body is good and was made to work with the framework of your soul. We are interconnected as soul and body and this connection is an important one that we are all on a journey of understanding.

Have you ever heard the phrase “mind-body” connection? Or maybe this one, “You are worrying yourself to death!”

The link between the two is way more powerful than you may believe. As you begin walking the pathway to physical well-being and soul restoration, exercise can be used as a cathartic tool to relieve stress and refocus your thought patterns.

  • Do you fight mental or physical fatigue?

  • What's your coping mechanisms?

  • How do you blow off steam?
