Over The last few weeks the Lord has been highlighting the word –DAYS to me. Songs like -These are the DAYS of Elijah, declaring the word of the Lord are in my spirit. These are the DAYS of your servant Moses- righteousness being restored and though these are DAYS of great trials of famine and darkness and sword. Still we are the voice in the desert crying prepare ye the way of the Lord. These are the DAYS of Ezekiel the dry bones be coming as flesh. These are the DAYS of your servant David rebuilding a Temple of praise. And these are the DAYS of the harvest the fields are as white in your world and we are the laborers in your vineyard declaring the word of the Lord.
This song has resonated in my spirit for weeks now. The Lord also lead me to the book of Daniel. And I sense we are entering the DAYS of Daniel. Those were days that the Lord showed himself as the –GOD MOST HIGH– (El Elyon) who rules in the kingdoms of this world and in the affairs of men. We must never forget – HE IS KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!
Read all of the book of Daniel when you can but at least read Chapters 1-4 for context of what I’m referring to. We need to understand the times that we are living in.
These are DAYS of remembering the FEAR OF THE LORD. Mankind has forgotten to fear God. You will see this as you read the book of Daniel.
Often times we think God as a far away God and he does not see or care about the matters that go on in this world but that is not true. That’s a lie. God is always with us by His Holy Spirit but God also moves in the earth in times and seasons in nations as well.
DAYS are a measurement of time. It’s also a time period, marking a specific amount. Right now I sense this to be such a time. A time where he is coming to inspect the affairs of men. Over the next several months I perceive this by Holy Spirits life in me.
These are DAYS of returning to the Lord. DAYS of reward & recompense. These are DAYS of unveiling for those carrying his light and DAYS of uncovering and exposing for those walking in darkness. These are DAYS of remembering the NAME & THE BLOOD OF JESUS and applying it rightly. We must steward this mystery well. His name and His blood.
Always remember that God is so redemptive- that’s his nature. So as you prepare your hearts this week in repentance and in returning to him, you are positioning yourself in his safety as Psalm 91 tells us.
Posture yourself for the good by remaining in him. These are DAYS like this generation has not seen. BUT as we are positioned in HIM- we don’t need to fear.
I encourage you to continue to dive deeper INTO his REST. Rest in his goodness, love, faithfulness, purpose and care for you. He is El Shaddai- the Almighty God. Do this by spending time in solitude and silence, in His word and in worship.
Daniel answered, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever! For wisdom and might are His! He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding! [Dan. 4:35.] He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him!
