LOVE CONQUERS EVERYTHING

I’m starting to believe that for love to conquer everything, it has to start with conquering  ME FIRST.

So this week I’m asking myself MANY questions about loving God’s way:

What matter do I need to lay down at the cross in order to love someone well this week?Who or how is God asking me to love that will take me past my level of comfort?

I’ve picked several verses to meditate on this week as I ponder these questions.

“So this is my command: Love each other deeply, as much as I have loved you. For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends.” ‭‭John‬ ‭15:12-13‬ ‭TPT‬‬

What does loving DEEPLY mean to me?

“Now, who of us would dare to die for the sake of a wicked person? We can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly noble person. But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly!” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:7-8‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Who do I view as UNWORTHY of my love?

“If I were to speak with eloquence in earth’s many languages, and in the heavenly tongues of angels, yet I didn’t express myself with love, my words would be reduced to the hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Do I express myself with loving speech?

I am asking God to show me this week how I can love with my words, past my comfort level, but especially passionately, deeply and sacrificially.

Will you join me?

Father God, we ask you to grace us to love in ways we never have before. In Jesus name-Amen.
