In uncertain times we must be sure we are hearing the voice of the Lord clearly. God is speaking right now and we must be in position to hear his next commands.
Just like your GPS goes silent until it’s time to make a turn, God too will seem silent until it’s that time. As he gives that direction, we must follow. We must discern what voice is speaking to us right now though, and make sure that we are hearing his voice and not our own. More importantly we must make sure we are not being deceived.
GUARD AGAINST DECEPTION
Recently I had a dream where I believe God was warning me of 3 things that were coming in the earth and what we needed to be on the lookout for. The first one was biological-aka coronavirus but the second one- was deception.
"The earth is the Lord's, the fullness thereof, the world and the people in it." You can bet that when God comes to do something, hell too will devise its own plans. God is still Lord of heaven and earth and as he comes as sovereign it is important that we humble ourselves and get in position, so we are not deceived. As the Commander of heaven comes on the scene with clear directives and orders we must follow his lead. God is commanding and re-ordering things in the earth systems right now and it is time to be focused and obedient as he restructures things.
SLOW DOWN AND LISTEN
We have been forced into slowing down, so please take advantage of this time. Don't read another fiction novel or play mindless games the whole time, take some of that time and get into prayer, go worship a while or read the Word of God. Slow down to the speed of now and spend time communing with God. In this place of intimacy he will speak.
We need to make our decisions from his heart and voice and not necessarily from the counsel of others. Not to say that God won't use other people, because he will, but no one else's voice should be louder or more important than His.
IDOLS MUST GO
"There shall be no other gods before me." People can be idols, but so can other things we give more of our attention to, than God. All gods must come down in our lives right now. Ever wonder why there is no sports on TV right now? Is that your god? Name what you are missing most right now and it may give you an idea of what idol needs to come down in your life. Unless your spouse or friends are people whom you know to be close with the Lord, take their counsel to the Lord for further vetting, as you make important decisions. God is serious about idolatry and He is coming to tear down all altars and forms of it in society and in the church.
FOLLOWING PROTOCOLS
Dictionary.com- The term protocol is used in many areas besides diplomatic ones. School marching bands or college admissions offices follow protocols, and doctors use them to treat patients with specific conditions. In tech circles, a protocol is a set of standards that programmers follow so that their work can be decoded by other computers. The p in the http of a web address is short for protocol. Without this type of protocol, you would not be able to read this page.
The bible gives us protocols that keep us safe and within the lines of his righteousness. Protocols are necessary especially in times of crisis where we must all be doing the same thing. One of the ways we can stay safe from deception and from this virus is by heeding the directives and protocols given us by governmental officials. The President along with other state and local leaders are giving clear, guidelines, instructions and protocols right now.
Romans 13:1-5 "Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience."
If you find yourself struggling with those clear directives, you need to search out why. I believe God is exposing rebellion, stubbornness and pride right now. Position yourself by praying prayers like:
Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.
And..
Psalm 51:10 "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you."
LEADERS TAKE HEED
Because God is exposing fear, rebellion, stubbornness and pride, allow God to search your heart in these areas of offense and sin and repent quickly. Repent for following the voice of others when you should be following the voice of the Lord. God is restoring his divine order in the earth and he is certainly doing it in every area of society. If you are the head of your home-lead from the Lord's commands and not others. If you are the head at your job, lead accordingly, remembering to fear the Lord in all of your decisions.
There is a voice of deception out there right now and this is something I want you to be very cognizant of as you move forward in the days ahead. This is a time to know your God. This is a time to be healed and delivered in your soul, so that you are making decisions through the counsel and Spirit of God.
This is a time to discern the voice of the Lord from the voice from within or most importantly the voice of your Adversary. One of the ways you distinguish those voices is by guarding your gates. Guard your mind, eyes, ears etc. Be careful what you meditate on, read, watch on TV and who you listen to. Voices influence us and although they are they may be good voices or even trusted voices they may not be GOD voices.
WISDOM KEYS
Get aligned with the right people- You are responsible for hearing God for yourself and for aligning with the right people. God will bring you very specific people during times of crisis. Look around you, they are probably already positioned in your life. Ask him to help you decipher who you need and which counsel to follow.
Another way to keep deception out is by studying the Word of God. If you are not a person who stays in the Word of God consistently then you need to be very careful following a voice you think you have heard.
Worship- worship positions you to hear God's voice. Are you a person who practices the presence of God? Do you know how to discern an atmosphere? If not, practice his presence by filling your atmospheres with worship. Shift your atmosphere so that your heart and spirit shifts into the spirit where you can commune with God. True worshipers worship in Spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24 "But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” Get positioned dear ones to hear the Masters voice. If you do not talk to him daily or practice listening to his voice be very careful listening to the voices you think you are hearing right now.
In times of uncertainty, unrest and turmoil, the voice from within you will speak very loudly, making you think it's the voice of the Lord.
John 10:3-5 "The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice.”
Proverbs 11:14 "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety."
You often hear me say this, but it matters who you marry. It matters who you have speaking into your life. There are a lot of good people out there who are nice and well meaning but neither have a close relationship with God nor know his ways. Turn away form such people when making important decisions. If they are not people of His Word and do not fellowship closely with him, do not receive their counsel.
In times when you're needing to hear God's voice, you need solid counselors, ministers and teachers of his Word in your life, helping you navigate the way forward. If you’re uncertain about something you’re hearing, take it to people who you know will help judge it. We have too many resources at our disposal to not reach out for help and guidance. There is safety in many counselors. Do not get stuck in the arguments or imaginations of your mind.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 "We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ."
BARES REPEATING-GUARD AGAINST REBELLION
Yes we can have very rebellious thoughts that need to be captured and thrown down. Rebellion if not recognized will set up systems of thinking in your mind and a hardness in your heart that will resist the very plan of God for you and the very things he is trying to safeguard you against. This rebellion is real right now, and is manifesting in people, as the protocols and guidelines continue to be implemented. People continue doing life as if nothing has changed and that should show us the clear rebellion that is evident in the hearts of many. Dear ones this world has shifted, and it will never return to how it once was.
No I'm not trying to be a dooms day prophet. God woke me up at the end of January and clearly said to me-"the shift is here and the new has come-things will never be the same again."
Little did I know what was coming, because I did not stay there in that revelatory moment long enough to commune and ask more questions. I pondered what he said all day long but I possibly could have received more if I had stayed and communed. I have since repented of this and will be more careful with the next revelation he gives me.
It is time to get in position dear ones and await the instructions of the Lord. Those instructions are coming-will you be ready and in position to hear what the Spirit is saying?
